When the mind reflects the heart, the path is bright,
No fear remains, no hiding from light.
No thoughts confined, no feelings stray,
Both as one to lead the way.

Time has torn their bond apart,
Crowned the mind, silenced heart.
Taught to think but not to feel,
Trust in facts, deny what’s real.

Mind was raised to rule alone,
Frozen high upon its throne.
Sees the world in charts and lines,
Never stops to read the signs.

Counts the steps but dares not dance,
Claims to know but fears a chance.
Speaks of truth but hears no sound,
Charts the sky but leaves the ground.

Heart was cast aside to stray,
Roamed through fire, lost its way.
Followed dreams, burned too bright,
Failed to see beyond its sight.

Loved too fast, with trust unwise,
Flew too high, then lost the skies.
Sang of hope but drowned in pain,
Reached for more but tried in vain.

So they fight, torn apart,
One is cold, one wild at heart.
One seeks rule, one longs to fly,
Both are lost when left to die.

Mind too strong will break the ties,
Leave the heart where silence lies.
Heart too wild will burn away,
Find no strength another day.

When they meet, when both stand still,
Shape the world with thought and will.
No mind too closed, no heart in flame,
No love reduced, no wisdom tamed.

Heart may dream, but mind must steer,
Ship must sail with vision clear.
Thought must lead when fire’s too high,
Love must shine when well runs dry.

Let them walk, no chains, no pride,
Side by side, not cast aside.
When reflection makes them one,
War is done, the battle won.

Heart that thinks, mind that feels,
Soul complete, love sharp and real.
When the war no longer starts,
Path is clear where wisdom charts.
