The Echo of Truth

Never lie to one so dear,
For lies will turn their love to fear.
A bond once cracked won’t reappear,
Its pain remains year after year.

Trust is fragile, thin as lace,
One wrong step, it’s lost in space.
It takes long years to build with grace,
Yet seconds gone in false embrace.

Honesty shines, it clears the way,
It strengthens bonds, it does not sway.
But lies will haunt, they bring dismay,
And turn the brightest hearts to grey.

A single lie may seem so slight,
Yet lingers deep and blurs the night.
For every truth concealed from sight,
A wound is carved, its cut so tight.

A promise made should not decay,
Or trust will surely fade away.
For once deception finds its way,
It turns to chains you can’t betray.

Deceit may hide behind a smile,
It lingers deep, it waits a while.
Yet truth will rise, expose the guile,
And break the web of every trial.

The weight of words is hard to hold,
So speak with love, be just, be bold.
For though the truth may cut and scold,
It keeps the heart from growing cold.

Choose the path that’s clear and bright,
Stand in truth, embrace the light.
For lies bring comfort, short in height,
Yet truth stands tall in endless might.

A house of lies will always fall,
Its cracks will spread, its walls will stall.
But truth will weather through it all,
A tower strong, forever tall.

The hardest truth is still more wise,
Than sweetest lies with veiled disguise.
And though deceit may claim the prize,
It falls apart as honour flies.

So walk with truth, let fear subside,
Let honest words be where you guide.
For though the road is long and wide,
With truth as light, you'll walk with pride.
