THE SHADOWS OF THE SCREEN

The Shadows of the Screen
By Drakaris Thalion

They lurk in silence, faceless and cold,
Hiding in darkness, their stories untold.
Cowards with keystrokes, venom they weave,
Seeking to wound, to make others grieve.

No name, no face, no courage, no spine,
Yet they spit poison, line after line.
Feeding on anger, thriving on pain,
A digital plague, yet nothing to gain.

They mock, they sneer, they revel in lies,
Desperate for worth in their hollow disguise.
But words from the weak hold little weight,
Truth stands tall while hate dissipates.

A mask of laughter, a veil of scorn,
Yet inside they’re tattered, battered, and torn.
Jealous of joy, envious of light,
They claw at the stars from the depths of the night.

They strike at the strong, the bold, the bright,
Trying to dim what continues to shine.
Yet fire withstands the coldest air,
For shadows perish when truth stands bare.

Let them whisper, let them shout,
Let them drown in their own self-doubt.
For words may sting, but souls stand tall,
And the nameless trolls will one day fall.

No honour in battle, no wisdom in fight,
Just echoes of cowards who fear the light.
Seeking attention, craving a war,
Yet locked in a prison they cannot ignore.

They watch from afar, their fingers ignite,
Fuelled by bitterness, stoked by spite.
Yet silence is lethal to those who attack,
For nothing is louder than never looking back.

They cower in numbers, like rats in the dark,
Feeding on rage, but missing the spark.
Empty their souls, shallow their cries,
Seeking to matter with hollow goodbyes.

But pixels are fleeting, their words turn to dust,
Their hatred will crumble, corrode, and rust.
For light will endure, for fire will rise,
And truth will outshine their cowardly lies.

So let them type, let them scheme,
Let them fade into their dream.
For truth prevails, and fire will gleam,
While trolls dissolve in the cracks of the screen.
