BATTLING YOUR DEMONS
By Drakaris Thalion
They creep in the silence, they strike in the dark,
Tearing through hope, extinguishing spark.
They whisper of failure, they revel in doubt,
Feeding on fear, they pull you down out.
They sharpen their daggers, they poison the mind,
Twisting the truth, they keep you confined.
They tighten their grip, they push till you break,
Their voices like thunder, their presence a quake.
They wait in the shadows, they stalk in the night,
Stealing your breath, suppressing your sight.
They call you defeated, they brand you as weak,
Drowning your will before you can speak.
They echo like sirens, they lure and they taunt,
Turning your past into ghosts that still haunt.
They strike without mercy, they smile as you fall,
Spreading their venom, controlling it all.
They whisper their lies, they tighten the chain,
Convincing your heart to bow to the pain.
They build up the walls, they darken the sky,
Blocking the sun, ensuring you cry.
They tear at your soul, they feast on your fear,
The echoes of battles that still linger near.
They steal every dream, they poison each thought,
Tainting the lessons your struggles have taught.
They know where you falter, they know where you hide,
They dig through your wounds to claw deep inside.
They turn every triumph to echoes of shame,
Twisting your victories back into blame.
Yet deep in the wreckage, beyond all the pain,
A force still remains they cannot restrain.
It flickers, it rises, it burns through the chains,
Shattering whispers, defying their reigns.
The fire ignites, the storm breaks the tide,
The warrior wakes with fury inside.
The weight of the past no longer can stay,
The voices that taunt are fading away.
You rise from the ashes, the scars on display,
Proof that their torment did not make you stray.
Your strength is unyielding, your will is like steel,
They cannot control what they cannot conceal.
They tremble, they falter, they wither away,
For you are the storm that sweeps them astray.
No longer their puppet, no longer their prey,
You are the dawn that ends their decay.
Let them return, let them scheme, let them crawl,
They cannot defeat what refuses to fall.
For you are the fire that never will die,
A force they cannot break, a flame they deny.
They gather once more, they plan their attack,
But now you are the shadow that watches their back.
You have battled before, you have conquered their grip,
Their kingdom is falling, their power will slip.
No chains left to bind you, no cage to confine,
They sink in your wake as you cross the line.
The war is not over, but now they must see,
The demons once hunting have started to flee.
So let them return, let them scream, let them fight,
You are the warrior who walks into night.
They may still whisper, but they hold no claim,
For you are the fire they cannot contain.
Their whispers grow weaker, their grip fades to dust,
Their kingdom of torment is left to combust.
You stand in the wreckage, your spirit still whole,
Their power is broken, you are in control.
The chains that once bound you lay shattered, undone,
Their reign is now over, the war has been won.
They retreat to the void, consumed by the past,
For you are eternal, unyielding, steadfast.
So let them remember, let them despair,
For you are the answer to every last prayer.
They wanted your ruin, they fought for your fall,
Yet you are still standing, unshaken through all.
