The Mind’s Journey
By Drakaris Thalion
The mind’s a storm, so dark and vast
A fleeting peace that will not last
Some days feel bright, the skies are blue
Then darkness clouds the path in view
They tell us, “Rise, be strong, stand tall”
Yet pain remains inside us all
A hollow grin, a forced display
Yet deep inside, we waste away
The weight of doubt, the sting of shame
The world that plays a ruthless game
"You’re weak," they say, "don’t make a fuss"
Yet words still cut and punish us
At work, at home, we wear a mask
We push ahead in every task
Exhaustion grows, but none can see
The war inside of you and me
No breath to take, no time to mend
A road that seems to have no end
But strain will rise, and walls will break
Until there’s nothing left to take
Yet in the dark, a spark may glow
A strength that we have yet to know
Not found in lies or words untrue
But in the fight to start anew
A step, a breath, a steady pace
A path to heal, a warm embrace
No shame in tears, in cries, in pain
For even storms will end again
The road is long, the path is steep
Yet courage grows and runs so deep
Though fear may rise and doubt may call
The soul stands firm, it will not fall
A hand that holds, a voice that stays
Can help us through the darkest days
Compassion shines where love is shown
No one should fight their pain alone
So let’s rewrite the tale we weave
Let’s build a world where hearts believe
Where kindness lives, where chains will break
Where wounded souls will heal awake
We’re more than scars, than weight we bear
We’re more than sorrow, more than despair
A story built on fire and might
A journey toward the breaking light
No shame in struggle, loss, or fears
For strength still shines beyond the years
And through the storm, we find our way
For after night returns the day
The past may haunt, the wounds may stay
Yet healing comes to those who pray
Through trials fierce, through battles long
The weakest heart can still grow strong
The fight is hard, the nights feel cold
Yet strength still grows as stories told
The fire inside will rise once more
And guide us to an open door
So hand in hand, let’s make it right
And stand as one against the night
For love can heal, and pain will cease
And minds at war will rest in peace
